I live in the Hudson Valley, which means a lot of what shows up on this site is shaped by farm stands, orchards, and the rhythm of the seasons — but you don't need to live here to cook from it. These are the recipes I actually make: weeknight things that aren't fussy, preserves and jams when fruit's in season, the occasional project bake, and a few that have been on rotation for years because they just work.
Everything here has been tested in a real kitchen by a real person with a real camera situation, which is to say: the photos took longer than the recipe. I include nutrition info, cook times, and the kind of notes I'd want — what to swap, what to skip, and what the recipe actually tastes like.
